Customer Protection

Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy

A clear, customer-friendly policy for digital services, subscriptions, courses, personalized deliverables, API credits and eligible physical products.

Effective and last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Scope and merchant identity

This policy applies when an order confirmation, invoice or checkout page identifies DKInc Digital India Pvt. Ltd. ("DKINC", "we", "us" or "our") as the seller or merchant of record. It covers purchases made on dkincglobal.com and participating DKINC-operated portals that expressly link to this policy. If another independent seller is identified at checkout, that seller's disclosed policy applies, without reducing rights available under applicable law.

KTB Matrimony is presently displayed as a portfolio platform only and is not represented by this policy as accepting DKINC's PhonePe checkout unless its checkout expressly states otherwise.

2. Seven-day no-questions-asked cooling-off promise

You may cancel an eligible purchase within seven calendar days after purchase without providing a reason. We only ask for the order or transaction reference and enough information to verify the purchaser and payment.

The promise applies where the service has not been materially consumed, activated, downloaded, generated, delivered, transferred or used. Category-specific rules below explain what counts as material use. Mandatory consumer rights always prevail where they provide greater protection.

This is DKINC's voluntary customer promise; it does not suggest that every Indian digital purchase has a statutory cooling-off period.

3. Always-refundable situations

Subject to verification, we provide a full refund when:

  • DKINC received a duplicate payment for the same order;
  • the purchased service was not delivered by the promised date and you do not accept a revised date;
  • the delivered service is materially defective, inaccessible or substantially different from its description and we cannot correct it within a reasonable period;
  • DKINC cancels the order or cannot provide the purchased service;
  • you were charged more than the final amount you affirmatively authorized;
  • a physical item is wrong, damaged, defective, expired or materially different from its description; or
  • a refund is otherwise required by applicable law.

4. SaaS subscriptions and recurring plans

  • You may cancel future renewal at any time through the relevant account controls or by contacting us. Access continues through the paid billing period unless stated otherwise.
  • The latest subscription charge is eligible for the seven-day cooling-off refund if the account has not materially used paid features, generated paid outputs, consumed meaningful storage/API capacity or otherwise received substantial value during that billing period.
  • After seven days, used subscription periods are normally non-refundable. If a prolonged verified outage or material service failure occurred, we may provide a proportionate refund or service credit.
  • We do not impose a cancellation fee merely because a customer stops future renewal.
  • Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a separately billed subscription unless the interface expressly confirms cancellation.

We do not impose a cancellation charge on a customer unless DKINC would bear a similar charge for cancelling the same transaction unilaterally, and any applicable charge was clearly disclosed before purchase.

5. API plans, usage credits and digital storage

  • Unused prepaid API or platform credits may be cancelled within seven calendar days of purchase.
  • Credits already consumed by valid API requests, lookups, processing, storage or third-party usage are not returnable, except where the usage resulted from a verified DKINC defect or unauthorized account activity reported promptly.
  • For partially consumed packs, any approved discretionary refund may be reduced by the value of consumed units and non-recoverable third-party charges disclosed before purchase.

6. Courses, training and certification services

  • A course purchase may be cancelled within seven calendar days, provided no more than ten percent of recorded content has been accessed and the first live instructional session has not been attended.
  • Mandatory fees already paid to an independent examination or certification body are refundable only to the extent that body returns them.
  • If DKINC cancels a course, materially changes the announced course, or does not commence it within the published period, you may choose a full refund or transfer to another available intake.
  • No placement or employment outcome is guaranteed unless a written offer expressly says so.

7. Personalized and immediately generated digital services

Personalized deliverables include birth charts, Kundali reports, certificates, archival exports, configured registries, custom reports and other outputs generated from customer-supplied data.

  • You may cancel before generation, processing or human work begins.
  • Once a correct personalized output has been generated or delivered, it cannot ordinarily be returned because it was created specifically for you.
  • If the output is inaccessible, corrupted, generated from data different from what you submitted, or materially fails its description, we will regenerate or correct it without charge. If correction is not reasonably possible, we will refund it.
  • Dissatisfaction with an interpretive or informational conclusion alone is not a defect where the service accurately processed the supplied information and clearly disclosed its informational nature.

8. Physical wellness products

  • Eligible unopened and unused products may be returned within seven calendar days after delivery, with original seals, packaging, accessories and proof of purchase intact.
  • Opened ingestible, personal-care, hygiene-sensitive or perishable products cannot be returned for change of mind. This restriction does not apply to products delivered damaged, defective, contaminated, expired, incorrect or materially misdescribed.
  • Report visible transit damage, missing items or incorrect items within 48 hours after delivery where reasonably possible and retain packaging photographs. A delay does not remove mandatory legal rights.
  • Where the return results from our error or a defective product, we bear reasonable return-shipping cost. For an eligible change-of-mind return, disclosed return-shipping cost may be deducted from the refund.
  • Replacement is offered only with your agreement; you may request an eligible refund instead where applicable.

9. Custom professional services and business contracts

For consulting, development, cloud, staffing or other milestone-based services, the signed proposal, statement of work or master agreement controls cancellation, acceptance and refund calculations. Amounts for completed milestones and authorized non-recoverable expenses may be retained. Nothing in a business contract excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Failed, pending and duplicate payments

  • If your account is debited but DKINC does not receive a successful payment confirmation, do not immediately pay again unless the order is urgent. Banks and payment-system participants ordinarily process an automatic reversal under applicable RBI timelines.
  • For UPI or card-not-present merchant payments where the account is debited but confirmation is not received by the merchant, the RBI framework prescribes auto-reversal within T+5 calendar days, subject to the payment-system rules then in force.
  • For covered domestic transactions, the RBI framework also prescribes ₹100 per day of delay beyond T+5, payable by the responsible regulated participant. Customers should claim a delayed reversal through their bank or payment app.
  • If reversal is not visible after the applicable period, contact your bank/payment app and DKINC with the transaction reference. We will confirm whether the payment settled to us.
  • If two successful payments settle to DKINC for one order, we will refund the verified duplicate in full.

11. How to request cancellation, return or refund

  1. Use the contact form and select “Cancellation or refund,” or email contact@dkincglobal.com.
  2. Provide your name, order number, transaction ID, portal, payment date and the email/phone used for the order.
  3. For damaged or incorrect physical goods, attach reasonable supporting photographs. We will never request your UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, password or OTP.
  4. We will provide an acknowledgment or reference within 48 hours and communicate the decision or request necessary information.

12. Refund method and timing

  • Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method. A different destination is used only where permitted by law and the payment provider, with appropriate verification.
  • We normally initiate an approved refund within five business days after approval or, for returned goods, after receipt and reasonable inspection.
  • After initiation, banks and payment providers may require an additional five to ten business days to post the credit. Their reference number will be shared when available.
  • Any GST credit note or invoice adjustment will be issued where legally required.

13. Fair-use exclusions

A refund may be declined to the extent allowed by law for fraud, abuse, material consumption, unauthorized resale, deliberate damage, violation of service terms, a false claim, or a simultaneous chargeback after a refund has already been issued. We will provide the reason for a decline and the available grievance route.

14. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Please contact DKINC first so we can resolve the issue quickly. This request does not waive your right to contact your bank, card issuer, NPCI, PhonePe or a competent authority. PhonePe may request order, fulfilment and refund-policy evidence from us when responding to a dispute.

15. Grievance escalation and governing consumer rights

Formal grievances are accepted only by email at contact@dkincglobal.com and are assigned to the appropriate India or United States contact. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and targeted for redress within one month. See our Grievance Redressal Policy for the required subject and escalation details.

This policy supplements and does not limit non-waivable rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, RBI directions or any other applicable law. Customers outside India retain mandatory rights available in their place of residence.
